3” Nitro-V Straight Back knife in “Shasta” Richlite

The 3.5" satin finish blade is hand-ground from Nitro-V stainless steel. This is an enhanced version of AEB-L, a Scandinavian steel that was originally developed for razors. It is resistant to corrosion but, unlike many stainless steels, it is also very easy to sharpen and maintain a keen edge, making this steel particularly well-suited to knives that require corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance. It has been heat-treated to approximately 62 Hrc by Paul Bos Heat Treating of Buck Knives.

The blade is a full flat grind and the edge is convex ground to 15 degrees per side (30 degrees inclusive). The spine and guard area have been rounded for comfort

The handle of this knife was made from “Shasta” patterned Richlite, a durable, sustainable paper composite material made from recycled paper and a thermosetting resin. The removable handle scales are fastened with black coated steel Torx screws.

The included Kydex sheath is equipped with a removable Spyderco G-Clip that allows for verticle, diagonal or horizontal carry.

This would make a great all-around knife for the outdoors; it’s light and compact enough that it won’t weigh you down or get in the way, yet solid and built from materials that are rugged enough to take on some moderately hard use.
